Who Should Take This Course?

Our Online Vinyl Chloride Awareness for General Industry and Construction course is for those who use, handle, store, package/repackage, or manufacture vinyl chloride and may face exposure. The course provides training on the general awareness of the risks of exposure and the OSHA regulatory requirements to protect employees, as required by OSHA.

Vinyl Chloride is a highly toxic, flammable, colorless gas with a mild sweet odor. It’s widely produced for commercial uses in the U.S. and used to make polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products. Vinyl chloride exposure can cause very serious health effects, such as birth defects, respiratory failure, liver toxicity, and rare forms of cancer.
