EMS-CE (2-Hours) – Anaphylaxis Online BLS/ALS Continuing Education
This BLS/ALS Instructor Based CE online course provides training on common allergens and treatments, the basics of allergic reactions, and the progression to anaphylaxis. Students will learn about the signs, symptoms, and treatment for anaphylactic reaction. 

EMS-CE (1-Hour) – Glasgow Coma Scale Online BLS/ALS Continuing Education
This Instructor Based BLS/ALS Online CE course covers the basics of the Glasgow Coma Scale and how to use and apply its findings to patients. 

EMS-CE (1-Hour) – Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) 
This BLS/ALS Instructor Based online training course explains MRSA and how it impacts EMS providers, hospital workers and the public. Students will learn about the signs, symptoms, and treatment of MRSA. Prevention and precautions will also be discussed. 

EMS-CE (1-Hour) – Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus (VRE)
This BLS/ALS Instructor Based online course explains VRE, including how it is acquired, transmitted, and the associated risk factors. Students will learn about the signs, symptoms, and treatment of VRE, along with how VRE impacts EMS providers, hospital workers and the public. Prevention and precautions will also be discussed.

EMS-CE (40-Hours) – OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER – Online
Our OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training contains training on hazard recognition, exposure limits, risk evaluation, technology methods, containing chemical spills, the decontamination process, protective equipment, among many other topics. 4 CEUs of Continuing Education credit.

EMS-CE (8-Hours) – Hazmat First Responder Operations (FRO) Level II Responder
This online FRO course is designed to help workers meet the OSHA HAZWOPER requirement for HAZMAT First Responder Operations (FRO) training. A Department of Transportation (DOT) Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG) is mailed to each student.

EMS-CE (4-Hours) – Hazmat First Responder Awareness (FRA) Level I Responder
This online FRA training course is designed to help workers meet the OSHA HAZWOPER requirement for HAZMAT First Responder Awareness (FRA) training. A DOT ERG will be mailed to each student.

EMS-CE (2-Hours) – OSHA Respiratory Protection Training
This online course is designed to help workers meet the OSHA requirement for Respiratory Protection training. Per Standard 29 CFR 1910.134, OSHA requires the employer to provide effective training at least annually to employees who are required to use respirators. 

EMS-CE (3-Hours) – OSHA Hazard Communication Training (HAZCOM)
This online HAZCOM training course was designed for employees who work near or may be exposed to any type of hazardous chemical, and need training to help meet the OSHA Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) requirement also known as an “Employee’s Right to Know”.

EMS-CE (3-Hours) – Laboratory Bloodborne Pathogens (Needle Sharps Program)
This Bloodborne Pathogens training online course is designed for individuals who work in laboratory areas or who work with small quantities of hazardous materials (<100L). The training covers common laboratory safety procedures and best practices to ensure personal and co-worker safety, including determination of risk of exposure, prevention of personal and third party contamination, and procedures if exposure should occur. Bloodborne pathogens certification of course completion is provided immediately once the course is completed.

EMS-CE (2-Hours) – Sexual Discrimination & Harassment Prevention Training
This online course was designed to provide both employers and employees training regarding sexual discrimination and harassment, and to assist in compliance with applicable State and Federal laws. This course is compliant with California AB 1825.

EMS-CE (24 Hours) – 24 Hour EMT Refresher Topics Course Online

Our 24 Hour EMT Refresher Topics Course was designed for currently certified or expired State or currently certified National Registry EMT’s. This course applies as Continuing Education (CE) credit. EMS-CE (48 Hours) – 48 Hour Online Paramedic Refresher Topics Course

Our 48 Hour Online Paramedic Refresher Topics course is designed for current or expired State of California Paramedics and currently certified NREMT Paramedics. The course includes Instructor based training for California Licensed Paramedics, and meets the state and local requirements for California. EMS-CE (24 Hours) – 24 Hour EMT Transition Topics Online

Our 24 Hour EMT Transition course is for EMT-Basics who want to become eligible for National EMS Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT). This course meets the requirements of the NREMT Transition Policy. This course can be taken for CE credit. Per new EMS Education Standards, an EMT-Basic with an expiration date of March 31, 2011 or March 31, 2012 has two registration cycles (4 years) to complete a state approved Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) to Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) transition course to be eligible for EMS National Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).

Paramedic & EMT Continuing Education Requirements

State and NREMT certified EMS professionals are required to meet various Refresher and state / NREMT continuing education requirements in order to keep their certification up-to-date. 

State Certified EMTs & Paramedics
State EMS Continuing Education and Paramedic / EMT recertification requirements vary widely by state and change frequently. Although our courses are accepted in most states, please check with your local and state EMS authority to verify the Paramedic / EMT continuing education requirements for your state, and that our courses will be accepted for Paramedic / EMT recertification. 

National Registry EMT (NREMT)
National Registry EMTs have three options for NREMT recertification prior to certification expiration:

  • Refresher & Continuing Education – Requires 24 hours of Refresher training (10 hours may be taken online) and 48 hours of Continuing Education (24 hours may be taken online). 
  • Continuing Education Only – Requires 72 hours of Continuing Education (24 hours or more must include USDOT curriculum). 24 hours may be taken online. 
  • Test Only – A certified NREMT may make one attempt to pass the NREMT exam. If the exam is passed, the NREMT card will be renewed.

NREMT Paramedics
There are three options to recertify prior to certification expiration:

  • Refresher & Continuing Education – Requires 48 hours of refresher training (10 hours may be taken online) and 24 hours of Continuing Education training (12 hours may be taken online). 
  • Continuing Education Only – Requires 72 hours of Continuing Education (48 hours or more must include National Paramedic Scope of Practice Topics). 22 hours may be taken online. 
  • Test Only – Requires no training hours and Paramedics must pass the exam on first attempt.
