Who Should Take This Course?

This EMS-CE (2-Hours) MCI START Triage course was designed to:

    • cover all aspects of S.T.A.R.T. triage as well as its proper application; and
    • help students gain an understanding of first-in MCI scene management, leadership roles, and tactics.

This course meets the qualification for National, State/Local, or Individual NCCP credit under NREMT distance education.

This course is provided by Safety Unlimited (and their partnership with Disaster Management Systems) and has been approved for 2 hours of BLS/ALS Instructor Based Continuing Education by C.E. provider 56-0013, CAPCE Provider #SUNI0321.

Course Outline

This course is fully narrated and interactive within our Online Training System (OTS). Upon completion of the course, students will need to complete a short evaluation and confirm their identity. Once these steps are completed, the course completion certificate will be available.

Course Exam

  • The final exam for this course consists of 50 questions, which are randomly compiled from a large pool of possible questions.
  • An 80% or better score is needed in order to pass the final exam. If a student does not pass, they may re-review information in the sections as necessary, and retake the test as many times as needed in order to pass.
