National Registry EMT Certification & Recertification |
Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency situations in order to stabilize patients, provide lifesaving interventions, and transport patients to medical facilities.
For those interested in becoming a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician, NREMTs certification requirements must be met.
NREMT Recertification
After becoming a National Registry EMT, recertification requirements must be completed prior to the certification expiration date (every two years) in order to avoid a lapse. For additional details and recertification options, see the NREMT EMT Recertification page.
HazMat Student offers a 40 Hour (F3) NCCP EMT Refresher course which can be taken by currently certified NREMT Paramedics toward recertification. This course includes National, State/Local, and Individual Components, using Distributed Learning. To see how this course applies to your situation and additional EMT course options, see our EMT Refresher Technician (EMT) Refresher Training page.
