About This Course
Our OSHA 24 Hour HAZWOPER Training (Classroom Version) course is designed for workers who need the 24 Hour HAZWOPER certification. This includes workers occasionally on waste sites only for a specific limited task, who are unlikely to be exposed over the permissible and published exposure limits.
The objectives of this hazardous waste operations and emergency response course are to meet:
- Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(ii) for general industry
- Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(iii) for construction
- HAZWOPER training requirements for EPA and State OSHA regulations
Per 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(ii) and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(iii):
Workers on site only occasionally for a specific limited task (such as, but not limited to, ground water monitoring, land surveying, or geophysical surveying) and who are unlikely to be exposed over permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits shall receive a minimum of 24 hours of instruction off the site, and the minimum of one day actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained, experienced supervisor.

Course Format & Length
This HAZWOPER 24 Hour training course includes up-to-date, high quality training created with your safety and learning as our top priority.
You can enroll in the classroom courses offered at our facilities through open enrollment. This course is typically scheduled during a 3 day period for 8 hours per day. The training will take a minimum of 24 hours to complete. View classroom training schedule.
We can also provide this training on-site at your location when hosted by your employer. Request a quote for onsite training.

Types of Respiratory Protection; Respirator Selection and Use; Respirator Medical Evaluation; Respirator Fit Testing; Respirator Training and Program Guidelines; Respirator Maintenance and Care; Chemical Protective Clothing (CPC) Overview; Chemical Protective Clothing (CPC) Program; Chemical Protective Clothing (CPC) Selection; Chemical Protective Clothing Classifications.

40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification
Once the 40 Hr HAZWOPER course is completed successfully, you will be issued a Fed-OSHA certificate of completion from HazMat Student in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120. You will be given access to download, save or print a 40 Hour HAZWOPER Course Completion Certificate which is provided in PDF format. Within 24 hours of course completion, you will also be mailed a PVC credit card style Wallet ID Card with optional photo, showing training course completion
