Overview

Who Should Take This Course?

This OSHA 30 Hour Construction (Spanish) Online course provides training on the safety and health hazards associated with construction work environments. Workers with some level of safety responsibility, such as foremen or supervisors, will benefit from the more in-depth training provided in this 30 hour course (vs. our 10 Hour OSHA Construction online course, which is for workers without supervisory responsibility). The OSHA 30 Hour Construction course focuses on identification, control, avoidance, and prevention of hazards and injuries at construction sites.

This training is exclusively available to workers within the 50 U.S. states and certain territories governed by the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act. Approximately 6-8 weeks after successful course completion, students within this jurisdiction will receive a Department of Labor (DOL) Wallet Card confirming course completion.

OSHA Policies

Per OSHA Program Requirements, all Outreach training is limited to a maximum of 7.5 hours of training per day, whether online or in the classroom. As a result, this course must be delivered over a minimum of four days.

Outreach training programs are limited to OSHA jurisdiction. Students must be located within the 50 United States or certain U.S. territories in order to receive a course completion card.

Course Completion

OSHA requires that all participants in this OSHA Outreach online course complete their training within 180 days of enrolling in the course. Differing from our regular course offerings, we’re not able to offer time extensions on OSHA Outreach courses. After 180 days, this course will expire. The student will no longer be able to access the course and course progress will be lost. There can be no extensions or exceptions.

Course Format & Policies

Course Format

This OSHA 30 Hour Construction Outreach Spanish course is provided through an affiliation with UL Solutions, who is an OSHA Authorized Online Outreach Provider for this course. Since the course is offered through this affiliation, and due to OSHA program requirements, the system requirements, delivery format, and course policies for this course are different than most of our other courses.

The course can be completed in sections, at your convenience, using a computer with an internet connection. Your course progress will be saved to the last section completed.

During enrollment, students will have the option to select either Proctored or Non-Proctored training. The Non-Proctored version is intended for all workers who don’t require Proctored training. The Proctored course was designed to comply with specific local laws. For example: Workers in New York City may require the Proctored version to comply with Local Law 196.

Biometrics for Proctored Courses

During enrollment, if you choose to take the Proctored version of the course due to a local law requirement, you’ll be enrolled in an Actively Proctored course where you’ll be required to activate the Voice Authentication System:

  1. A Voice Verification box will appear on-screen and will ask you to call: (888) 676-4656.
  2. Once you call, you’ll be asked to enter the 4-digit PIN you see on-screen.
  3. During your first call, you must follow the instructions given and repeat a series of 6-digit codes. Once done, you’ll receive a confirmation and may hang up. Your voice authentication is now ready. Click the ‘Continue’ button on your computer. You may now proceed to the first course, ‘OSHA Outreach Training Orientation’.

12 Months to Start

Students have 12 months to start a class once registered. After 12 months, the registration expires. There can be no exceptions.

180 Days to Complete

Once enrolled in the class, students have 180 days to complete the training. After 180 days, the course expires and the student loses access to the course and loses all their course progress. There can be no extension or exceptions on OSHA Outreach courses.

Course Completion

Once all training content has been completed and all exams have been passed, students will need to complete a brief evaluation and confirm his/her identity to access the course completion certificate.

To receive the OSHA 30 Hour Construction Wallet Card, the following OSHA requirements must be met:

  • All exams must be passed with a 70% of higher grade.
  • The course must be completed within 6 months of the initial course enrollment date.
  • A maximum of 7.5 hours (450 minutes) can be spent on the course per day. The course will take a minimum of four days to complete.
  • Students must review complete all course material, as well as the survey.

Course Exams & Reset Eligibility

Per OSHA requirements, a 70% or better score is needed in order to pass each quiz and the final exam.

If a student fails any quiz or exam during the course, we allow one single reset for each student. When a student fails a quiz or exam, the course will lock and not allow them to continue. If a student has failed any section and has not used their one free reset, please contact our customer service to reset the course. The one free reset can be applied to either a quiz or the final exam, but not both.

If a student uses their one free course reset, the student’s course progress will be lost and they will need to restart the course from the very beginning.

Students must complete their course within OSHA’s 6-month requirement or the 1-year access period. If either of these dates have expired, we will be unable to reset the course, even if a reset was never used.

Refund Policy

Refund requests must be sent in writing to [email protected] within 30 days of purchase, with no more than 25% of the course completed.

Accreditation

Authorization

This Spanish OSHA 30 course is provided through an affiliation with UL Solutions, who is an OSHA Authorized Online Outreach Provider for this training. Due to OSHA regulations and this affiliation, there are differences in how this course is offered compared to our regular Online courses. Please review the differences, which are explained on the other tabs.

Department of Labor (DOL) Cards

Students should receive their DOL cards approximately 8 weeks after course completion. If a student hasn’t received their DOL card 8 weeks after their course completion date, they must notify us via email at [email protected] within 8-12 weeks from course completion to avoid a $50 replacement card fee. The request for a free reissue card will be reviewed for eligibility and forwarded to UL Solutions.

After 12 weeks from the course completion date, all card requests will be considered a replacement DOL card and will cost $50. Students will also need to fill out a OSHA Card Replacement Form, which we’ll provide upon request.

Important Notes: 

  • OSHA allows only one replacement card within 5 years of your course completion date. If you’ve already received one replacement card, you would need to retake the entire course in order to get another card.
  • A “free reissue card” does not count towards the student’s one “replacement DOL card”.

Additional Training

Please note that this OSHA Outreach course provides valuable information which applies to a general population of construction workers. This course is not meant to replace company-specific training provided by your employer on equipment use and procedures for your particular work environment. You must be trained by your employer on the hazards, equipment, engineering and administrative controls, safe work practices and emergency plans specific to your role and workplace.

In ALL situations, employers are required to ensure their employees are adequately trained to do their job.
