Who Should Take This Course?
Our Chromium (VI) Awareness Online course is intended for those who may be exposed to chromium VI in the workplace. The course provides general awareness of the risks of chromium VI exposure, as well as information on the employer requirements to prevent workplace exposures to chromium VI.
Chromium (VI) is a known carcinogen, which targets the kidneys, skin, eyes, liver, and respiratory system. Workers may be exposed to Cr(VI) while working in industrial processes that involve chromium. Exposure can occur: during welding and “hot work” on metals containing chromium; during use of pigments, spray paints, and coatings; and while operating chrome plating baths.
