Who should take this course? / Overview
If you need the OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification but realistically will never use any of the equipment on any work site, then in this case, the HAZWOPER 40 Hour training can be taken entirely online. Throughout this course, each student will view over 50 short video clips as if they were at the 8-hour hands-on session. These video clips are required viewing by each participant. This is done in place of the actual hands-on portion. The video clips demonstrate the HAZWOPER equipment in great detail and students have the advantage of viewing the videos over and over as needed during their course.
Once you've completed this HAZWOPER online training course, you will be able to download, save, and print your 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certificate. This course is very comprehensive and thorough. It is fully narrated with many photos and videos. It is self-paced and bookmarks your place so that you can easily resume where you previously left off. You may also start and stop, as you need to. Our courses come with a full money back guarantee.
If you feel that you need to attend an 8-hour hands-on classroom session, you have the option of taking our OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training (32 Hours Online / 8 Hours Classroom) which gives the student access to only the specific equipment that the instructor provides. This may vary slightly from the equipment used at the worksite. Therefore, we highly recommend that you become trained and familiar with the on-site specific equipment that you may use or that your employer provides. See our classroom schedule and locations.
Note: This option is not for everyone and does not give students the practical experience and ability to handle and use the equipment that the HAZWOPER workers use. If there is any chance that a worker who has taken the HAZWOPER 40 hour training course entirely online, may be required to use any of the equipment discussed during their training, then the hands on portion of the training should be received.
Objectives
The objectives of this HAZWOPER online training course are to meet the Federal OSHA HAZWOPER training requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(i) for general industry and 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(i) for construction.
